___Founded in Chicago by Gina Barrera in 2002, Project Rhythm Productions is a new dance competition production company dedicated to producing events that emphasize the professional dance community of each host city. Project Rhythm believes in creating a dance competition with a new set of values more sensitive to the creative process of choreography and performance. Most of all, Project Rhythm is excited to bring it's contestants a competition experience like no other!

___ The highlights of the upcoming CHICAGO DANCE MOVEMENT 2003 will include a schedule of master classes taught by our judges, The exclusive Soloist Showcase Competition, a day of duo/trio and group competition, the Pre-Awards Show performances by our Soloist Showcase winners and our judges dance companies, a live DJ, on-site dance photography by Kristie Kahns, and not to mention our elaborate awards ceremony to recognize you, our winners!

ABOUT GINA BARRERA ___
___Gina Barrera received her early dance training in her native Saint Louis, and has lived in Chicago for the past five years as a tap dancer and photographer. She grew up competing in dance competitions for 12 years and wanted to create a competition event that valued a different sense of artistry that she had seen in the professional dance community. Gina has choreography, teaching, and professional theater and dance credits. She has been inspired by Chicago's working community of dance artists and has begun to collaborate with them to further reach her vision of Project Rhythm Productions.
