Project Gameface is an open-source hands-free gaming mouse that allows users to control a computer’s cursor using head movement and facial gestures. It was designed after Lance Carr, a quadriplegic video game streamer with muscular dystrophy, lost his gaming equipment in a fire. Project Gameface uses machine learning models to recognize head movements and facial gestures captured from a webcam to move the cursor. It also incorporates the idea of a gesture size, which allows users to customize the sensitivity of their gestures.
