Google.org has announced 15 selected projects that aim to use AI technology to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These projects include developing a machine learning toolkit to detect neonatal complications, using satellite imagery and machine learning to study wetlands, and creating an AI coach for children in India. Each project will receive up to $3 million in support, technical assistance, and Google Cloud credits. Some projects will also receive Google.org Fellowships, where Googlers work with organizations on a pro bono basis. More information about the projects can be found on the AI for the Global Goals website.
