Generative AI is a subfield of artificial intelligence that focuses on generating new data, such as images, text, or audio, that is similar to existing data. Foundation Models (FMs) are a key component of generative AI because they are large neural language (or image, video, etc.) models trained on large datasets using deep learning architectures. Amazon Bedrock provides a platform for deploying and scaling generative AI models built with Foundation Models on AWS.
