However, the data accessible is not evenly distributed and lacks completeness. Data Commons aims to fill these gaps by actively seeking additional data and partnerships. It also collaborates with organizations to tackle societal challenges and provides a unified view of data for these organizations. The goal is to democratize information and empower nonprofits to make data-driven decisions. Examples of nonprofits utilizing Data Commons include Cemefi, which examines hunger and gender in Mexico, and Makaia, which tracks economic and social growth in Colombia.
