3 LGBTQ+ apps and the creators who built them

Glii, a safe dating space for the LGBTQ+ community, was launched by Shivam, Ankur, and Rohit from Noida, India. The app was created after Shivam’s friend, who is gay, confided in him about the problems he faced when using dating apps, such as safety issues and catfishing. The team decided to create an app that exclusively caters to LGBTQ+ individuals looking for a safe dating space. They added features like the ability to book LGBTQ+-friendly spots for their first date and the use of artificial intelligence to verify all accounts, ensuring that users only interact with real individuals. Additionally, the app uses psychometric assessments to help users check their compatibility with potential matches before meeting them. The team is now planning to expand their app to Thailand and Southeast Asia.
