The Google Assistant has added new voices to its repertoire, giving users a choice of male or female voices. The new voices come with a prompt for users on how to use the assistant, including tasks such as setting timers or playing music. Furthermore, the Voice Match feature has been made easier to use, allowing users to identify their voice and setting up a security feature that allows the assistant to verify who is using the phone. To use the feature, users can navigate to Assistant settings or say “Hey Google, set up Voice Match.” The feature only stores the user’s Voice Match profile on the devices where it has been turned on, but it may be sent temporarily to Google servers for verification.
