The video thumbnail on text results will no longer appear for pages where the video is not the prominent element on a page.

Google is making a change to its search results where video thumbnails will only appear next to the search results when the video is the main content of the page. Previously, video thumbnails appeared in two different ways, either at the beginning of a listing or after a listing. This second format is being removed to make it easier for users to understand what they can expect when visiting a particular page. This change will affect search appearance reported metrics for videos in the performance report in Search Console, with annotations in the video indexing report and the video enhancements report. Google recommends publishers to follow video indexing best practices and to join discussions in the Search Central help community for any questions. The change has been tested and has minimal impact on overall engagement for publishers.
