Amazon is reportedly building a team to create AI-generated images and videos for advertisers to use in ad campaigns. The move to allow advertisers to natively generate their own visual assets could help improve their listings and lead to more sales and greater ROI on the platform. Amazon’s advertising business is also diversifying, with video ads on Freevee and Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, audio ads on Amazon Music, and digital ads inside Amazon Fresh grocery stores. The development follows similar moves by Google and Microsoft to integrate generative AI into their ad campaigns.
