Google files lawsuit over fake review scams

Google is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit in which it is accused of illegally using copyrighted content and stealing personal information to train its AI products. The lawsuit alleges that Google has been taking digital content from millions of Americans without permission and using it to develop its AI technology, including its chatbot, Bard. The plaintiffs are seeking damages of at least $5 billion and want Google to give users the option to opt out of its data collection or delete its existing catalog of data. Google has denied the claims and called the lawsuit “baseless.”
