Reddit has introduced Contextual Keyword Targeting and Product Ads to improve its Reddit Ads Manager tool and help advertisers reach their target customers with greater accuracy. The ads will also feature call-to-action buttons to direct users to a brand’s product page. Advertisers will be able to import the same catalogs they use on competitor platforms and create ads directly from existing catalogs. Redditors make 2x more category purchases than other online customers, spend 2.5x more per purchase, and are more likely to talk positively about brands that advertise on Reddit. The move is part of Reddit’s strategy to become a “hub for actionable conversation.”
