SMR Technologies Website and Identity
A corporate website and visual identity for a technology consulting firm, designed to make a small, focused shop read as credible and enterprise-grade.
SMR Technologies was a small, focused technology shop that competed against much larger firms; the site had to close that gap in the first few seconds, and make depth of skill, not size, the story.
I designed the website and the identity around that one job: look like the safe, credible choice.
The design
Restraint did the work. A clean blue-and-gray system, generous structure, and a hero that led with capability (the services, the security, the hardware) instead of stock-photo filler. Credibility markers, client references, testimonials, and a clear “our vision” statement, sat exactly where a cautious buyer looks for reassurance.
What it had to solve
- Read as enterprise-grade; the design gave a smaller firm the visual weight of a larger one, without pretending to be something it was not.
- One clear path; navigation and hierarchy pointed a visitor from “who are they” to “can I trust them” to “let’s talk.”
- A system, not a page; the layout, type, and logo lockups held together across the homepage and interior pages so the brand felt consistent everywhere.
Make a focused specialist look like the credible choice and the size disadvantage disappears. It is the same instinct I bring to search and AI visibility now; the surface changed, but the job is still to earn trust fast and make the next step obvious.
