Two ways to work with me
I am open to one senior in-house role and a small number of fractional engagements. Both center on the same problem; making AI assistants choose your content when buyers ask.
Search is splitting in two. Google still ranks pages; AI assistants now choose answers. Optimizing for that second surface is Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO; it is the work most companies have not staffed for, and it is what I do.
Full-time
A senior role where the methodology is the job
Head of AEO. Director of AI Search. SEO Lead at an AI company or a search-technology vendor. I want to own the answer-engine strategy end to end; not run a department, but build the system that decides whether AI cites you. I am not pivoting into general marketing leadership.
What I bring
- The Assistive Agent Optimization (AAO) framework and its 10-gate pipeline, authored and documented
- Technical depth: structured data, AI-crawler accessibility, edge rendering, and the Python that proves it
- Two decades of attribution and performance marketing under real revenue pressure
Fractional and advisory
A defined engagement on a single mandate
An AEO audit. A measurement system. An authority-gap diagnostic that tells you where your ceiling sits before you spend against it. For teams that need the expertise without the full-time hire.
What you get
- A 10-gate AAO diagnostic scored against your category
- A prioritized remediation roadmap, not a slide deck
- The infrastructure built, not just recommended
Embedded full-time or engaged on a single mandate, the work is the same: I find the ceiling, then I build past it.

Proof in the open
This page is its own evidence. andres.plashal.com is under three months old; it already ranks on page one of Google for 202 non-branded queries, most of them the long-tail, conversational strings AI assistants generate. The method described here, run on this domain.

How I work
- 01
Diagnostic first. I start by finding the ceiling. You get the honest number before anyone spends against it.
- 02
Evidence over assertion. Every claim ties to primary-source data; Search Console, server logs, citation baskets, not platform estimates.
- 03
Build, do not advise. I ship the infrastructure: schema, llms.txt, crawler enumeration, the measurement pipeline. Recommendations you cannot implement are not worth much.
Who this is for
This works best for operators who would rather see the honest number than the flattering one; companies that treat AI search as the structural shift it is, not a checkbox; teams in regulated categories, where authority is the constraint. By regulated, I mean industries, products, and services under strict government oversight, legal requirements, or specific industry guidelines: finance, health, insurance, law. If you want someone to confirm the dashboard is green, I am not your person.
Questions
Are you available now?
Yes. I am open to one senior role and a small number of fractional engagements. Reach out and we will find the fit before we talk timing.
Full-time or fractional?
Both, and the choice is yours. The same work either way: I own the answer-engine strategy as an employee, or I run it as a defined engagement.
What does a fractional engagement cost?
Pricing follows the mandate; it depends on the problem and the timeline. Tell me what you are trying to solve, and I will send a scoped proposal after a short call.
Do you work in regulated industries?
Yes. I built a search and AI program inside an SEC-regulated, FINRA-bound vertical, including compliance-aware content workflows. Regulation is a constraint I am used to building within.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, as a matter of course. Your data and your numbers stay yours.
How do we start?
A short call. Tell me what you are trying to get AI to say about you, and I will tell you what is standing in the way.
